Post Airline WiFi

Here are some details regarding some of the airlines offering wifi Internet on thier planes. you have questions dont hesitate to drop us an email.

Boeings Connexion WiFi Internet Service: The first to have a FCC license to transmit on wifi radio frequencies in the air. The following airlines are using the service:

Air China
Asiana Airlines
El Al
Etihad Airlines
Japan Airlines
Korean Air
Lufthansa
Nippon Airlines
Scandanavian Airlines
Singapore Airlines

*only offered on Internetional flights: $9.95 per hour and $26.95 per flight.

AirCell: Recently acquired license for wifi-use in the air. They have plans to offer domestic wifi Internet service in the U.S. with plans to expand to the rest of N.A. Airlines lining up currently...

American
Delta
Frontier
United
U.S. Airways

and we suspect most, if not all, carriers will pick-up this service once it goes live. There is no current information AirCell's planned date for offering the service. Consider airlines would also be involved in the implementation of the service.

Quick side note: Boeing announced on 18 August 2006 they would be shutting down thier Connexion service due to the fact they could not secure a buyer. Apparently Lufthansa has expressed thier discontent.

Service is slated to be down by the end of this year.
