First of all, love the site. But...
I visit WiFi.com via Safari and IE, and the pages seem to be written with IE in mind, as the format is a little goofy in Safari. More specifically, the vertical white space between the boxes along the left and right edges of many pages disappears in Safari. This is not enough to keep me away, mind you, but y'all seem to be pretty tight on quality and I thought I'd just point it out. Keep up the good work! |

Thank you for the feedback, tkrosh.
In fact our web designer tests out each page using; IE, FireFox, Netscape, and Opera. Im relatively sure Safari is not on the list. That said, I will see about having the issue resolved. Now that you mention it, I experienced a similair issue using Palm Blazer, and if I am not mistaken the designer mentioned she had experienced this issue and optimized as best she could considering the most widely used browsers. This doesnt mean you are S.O.L., as Im not sure Safari was evaluated. I do know historically we have had about 2.8% of hits from Safari users. Here ae the stats starting January 1, 2007 until now: Safari - 65746 hits which accounts for 2.8% of hits by all browsers. Considering Netscape is 2.6% it is fair we should be verifying cleanliness of the site with Safari. |

A quick follow-up: I spoke with our designer and it appears we have the same issue with Netscape users! At this point we do not have a solution for the problem. We could increase the space between blocks. However, this would create too much space between blocks for IE and Firefox users - which account for the majority of browsers.
If we find a solution we will implement it. |

Thanks for the thoughtful look at the usage stats which shows the low incidence of Safari among browser users (at least we're ahead of Netscape
However, don't discount those of us that are Mac users because our WiFi experience is often different from Windows users (and perhaps worths something). Further, Mac users tend to be evangelists, so helping us helps you - you know what I mean? |
