A little info for you: Boingo was started by the creator of Earthlink, Skye Dayton. Earthlink, as you may or may not know, are pushing alot of resources into the WiFi world. Cities like; San Francisco and Anahiem are being wired by Earthlink for the purposes of allowing everyone in those cities a totally wireless Internet connection! Anywhere in the city you have access to the Internet.

Boingo is an aggregator. What this means? They provide the actual connection to the end user. So, your hotspots install the equipment and Boingo offers the wifi connection from the equipment to the end user, you!

They are currently the largest provider of hotspot connections in the world.

The beauty is, for $22 a month, you can take your laptop to any hotspot - regardless of onsite connection fees - and get your wireless service without any hassles! Providing Boingo is the aggregator for that particular hotspot.
